Who is Adam Walsworth?

Adam Walsworth is a Streaming Media based Product Line Lead Engineer at Akamai Technologies. He is responsible for maintaining and implementing Akamais streaming media services, which are used by companies around the world to deliver video, audio and other digital content to their customers. Adam has been with Akamai since 2000 and has had a variety of roles within the company. He started out as a Performance Engineer, helping former Speedera customers integrate their streaming media services with Akamais products. He then moved on to become a Streaming Media Technical Support Engineer, a position that has seen him develop and deploy new streaming services, troubleshoot any existing issues and support customers with their streaming media needs. Adam has a deep understanding of streaming media technologies and the challenges associated with delivering content over the Internet. He has worked with a variety of streaming media protocols, including Apples HTTP Live Streaming (HLS), Microsoft Smooth Streaming, Adobe HTTP Dynamic Streaming (HDS), and Adobe RTMP. He has also worked with a number of streaming media encoders and transcoders, such as Wowza, Adobe Flash Media Encoder and Open Broadcaster Studio. In addition to his technical expertise, Adam also has a strong background in customer service. He has an excellent ability to listen to customer needs and identify potential solutions that meet their requirements. He is also highly organized and detailoriented, making sure that any project he is working on is completed in a timely manner and to a high standard. Adam is passionate about his work and takes pride in providing customers with the best streaming media services possible. He is highly motivated and always willing to go the extra mile in order to ensure customer satisfaction. His enthusiasm for streaming media is evident in his daily activities, and he is always looking for ways to improve the streaming experience for customers. Adam is a great asset to the Akamai team and his expertise in streaming media technologies is invaluable. He has helped Akamai deliver high quality streaming services to customers around the world and has been instrumental in the continued success of the company. Today Adam works as a Product Line Lead for media services. Ensuring that newly developed products are properly documented and support ready. In his spare time Adam enjoys spending time with his family, fishing, boating, and communing with nature. He is also an avid reader and enjoys learning about new technologies and keeping up to date on industry trends.
